You don't even start out with a lumber shed, a barn, or a silo. I wanted to love it, just because I love Harvest Moon so much. I found the opening cut scenes funny, and the art work is cute.But I got bored fast. I don't normally get this upset with anything at all. Even if you drop a WEED on your farm, the villagers get upset.
Then when all that was done, I had to stop playing. You'd better have a lot of patience. It was just so dull. Did you accidentally drop something. I don't know if it's just me, everything seems so much harder to do. I'm sure if you've never played the Harvest Moon games before, you may enjoy this. Mining. So sure, you buy your first crops, you talk to everyone, build a barn and get animals.
Then I bought this. (By the way: what the heck is with that). I own the Game Boy More Friends of Mineral Town and A Wonderful life for PS2 from Harvest Moon. Be ready to fight off dark animals.
One more thing. All the raw materials don't make much money at all. At least in MFoMT and A Wonderful Life, you could count on that if you're hurting. Ok, so here's the thing. No worries; except for the fact that everyone's liking for you, and I mean everyone, suddenly decreases. It doesn't matter if it's your own property. That's enough bashing from me. Normally, I'm really easy on things.
(I have a friend who did. But honestly; I thought this was such a disappointment.The graphics are similar to MFoMT, and I actually like the music a lot. But now he's just as bored as I am). You have to build pretty much ev-ry-thing. Courting. But this game didn't do it for me. If you're a long time fan, I wouldn't purchase.
This Harvest Moon game is one of the best. Couple of things wrong with it though,1) A Watering Can glitch after you upgraded it passed Mystic (Highest), once you have it you can no longer water, or fill your can or used the Blessed Watering can. Its easy to play and there isn't much to it except for farming. I am seriously addicted to it. Its only happend to couple of people, but I sent it in and Natsume couldn't fix it. T_T so they sent me a new game and I had to start all over.2) Cook-Off Event Glitch, if the theme is Ovan, then you might as well skip the event entirly, the game will freeze you in the event and you'll have to reset the system.Other then that it is a pretty fun game, except for the hand cramps from taking care of the animals.
I love this Game. Pretty much the same as Harvest Moon, but without all the glitches.
Well the game itself is tons of fun and if you liked other harvest moon games, you're sure to like this one too. HOWEVER I don't know if I received a defective cartridge or what, but my saved game keeps randomly disappearing. After the 3rd time I turned on the DS and had only "New Game" available, I just threw it away.
I love raising the animals on my farm, and I definitely like flirting with the boys. I have never before played Harvest Moon, so I cannot compare it to any of the others.A friend recommended I try Harvest Moon, so I picked this one because a) it's on DS and b) the main character is a girl.It is very fun and addicting. I am not even sure what makes it so addicting. I'm not sure yet if it has a storyline. but it does have random events and scenes that are triggered depending on your relationship with certain individuals in the game.I'd recommend this to older "kids" and little kids too.I give it an 8/10 because it's a good game, but there's always something better.
